In the study conducted with descriptive survey model, 86 mothers with 4-6 years old children were included. Data were collected with a survey form that was developed based on the objective of the study and included questions on demographic information, the use of computer technologies and the impacts of the parents. Data were further collected via interviews and analyzed using percentages and frequency distributions. The study findings demonstrated that 31.4% of preschool children had their own computer, 53.5% had mobile phones, 34.9% had tablet computers and 11.6% used computers. It was determined that 20.9% of the children started using computer technologies at the age of two or before, 40.7% at the age of three and 38.4% at the age of four, 48.8% used these technologies at least for one or two hours daily, and out of the total use, 76.7% was to play games and 17.4% was to watch videos and listen to music. It was determined that 11.6% of the mothers did not restrict the children's computer technologies use and did not try to limit the time spent on computers, and others tried to prevent computer use by attracting their attention to something else, taking the device away and convincing them to stop using computers. While 57% of the mothers considered that their children should learn to use computer technologies, 31.4% thought that supervised computer use was adequate, about 60% stated that they required training on the subject %K Bilgisayar teknolojileri %K okul £¿ncesi d£¿nem %K bilgisayar kullan£¿m£¿ %U http://dergipark.org.tr/cg/issue/41609/467662
