%0 Journal Article %T Poverty and Some Observations on Child Labor Relations in Turkey %A Pelin Somel %J - %D 2019 %X In many parts of the World people live in poverty. Although poverty varies according to the level of development of countries, it is basically a problem. Children feel the deepest form of poverty and the physical and mental development of poor children is negatively affected. Children who are often exposed to poverty in childhood are faced with poverty in the future. So, poverty is an ongoing problem that has been transferred from generation to generation. As child labour contributes to family income, poor families see their children as a source of income. This is an important element for child labour. The situation in which child labour occurs in the worst conditions causes the children of today to turn in to the poor and poor people of the future. This problem is not only peculiar to poor families, but also an important social reality that concerns the public.
