%0 Journal Article %T Phase-II Students' Evaluations of Anatomy Teaching at Balikesir University Medical School %A ALPER VATANSEVER %A Emrah £¿ZCAN %J - %D 2018 %X Aim: This study was conducted in order to evaluate the theoretical and practical courses of the anatomy of Bal£¿kesir University Faculty of Medicine Phase-II students during the 2017-2018 academic year. Methods: The questionnaire, which was developed by the researchers by conducting the literature search, was formed from 20 questions related to anatomy education, 2 open-ended and 18 closed-ended. A number of 110 (89.4%) of 123 students were participated our study. Collected data were evaluated using SPSS v22 software. Results: Of the 110 students who participated in the study, 58 were male (52.7%), 52 were female (47.3%) and the mean age was 20.63 (minimum: 19, maximum: 24). 85.5% of the students who participated in this study did not fail during their phase, whereas 14.5% of them did. While 16.4% of students did not choose the medical school by their own decisions, 83.4% of them made this decision by their own wishes. Total number of 107 (97.3%) of students thought receiving feedback about anatomy courses was necessary. 75.5% of the students preferred the method of the theoretical exams as multiple choice, while 10.9% oral, 7.3% short answer and 6.4% classical writing. Conclusion: Students¡¯ feedbacks are important to improve the anatomy education.
