It also prohibited acts and contracts that are carried out with interest. Banks are some of the significant intermediary institutions of the contemporary financial system. Conventional banks are restricted in their activities by the existing law, but they cannot assess jobs and operations in a religious sense. Today¡¯s civil servants, laborers and pensioners receive their salaries over banks. In line with the legal regulations in recent years, banks provide civil servants, laborers and pensioners with promotions in the case that their salaries are deposited in their branches. As the promotions provided to these people from banks are a current and debated issue, today¡¯s scholars of Islamic jurisprudence have discussed the topic and provided a set of views. However, as it is a contemporary issue, to the best of our knowledge, no detailed study has been conducted on it yet.
