%0 Journal Article %T A Research on the Determination of the Structural and Technical Characteristics of Modern Dairy Cattle Enterprises %A DURHASAN MUNDAN %J - %D 2018 %X This research was conducted to determine the status of the structures and facilities in £¿anl£¿urfa dairy cattle enterprises, to evaluate the positive and negative aspects of the existing barns, to create new suggestion for the answer of the problems. Data of 41 dairy enterprise registered in the "TURKVET" system were obtained through surveys and measurements in £¿anl£¿urfa. Numerical values and percentage frequencies of the data obtained from the enterprises included in the study are presented. In the enterprises visited in the province of Sanliurfa, it was determined that 22% of the farmers established their enterprises according to the project designed by expert technical personel, that 82.5% of the farmers were livestock in semi-open barn and used a free-stall system, that 38.2% of the farmers plan the barn entrance to the South, that 85.2% of the farmers prefer concrete structure as barn flor, that 69.7% of the farmers used briquettes as wall construction material and that 81.88% of the farmers used rubber mats as bedding material. Farmers (31.71%) have a primary school diploma. According to the project designed by expert technical personnel, there is no problem in structurally and technically in building barn. However, negative conditions have been identified for those who built their barn by taking their neighbors as an example or by their own experience in the ensuring environmental conditions inside the barn. As a result, it is suggested that it will be appropriate to organize seminars on these subjects in order to inform the farmers, to establishment of enterprises should have ideal barn characteristics and to make the barns according to the animal welfare criteria %K £¿£¿letme %K S¨¹t S£¿£¿£¿r£¿ %K Bar£¿nak %K £¿anl£¿urfa %U http://dergipark.org.tr/ataunivbd/issue/39963/331282
