Thus, it is planned to select nonwords that have the least variability among the individuals. Material and Methods: The Turkish Nonword Repetition was recorded by a professional speaker in a professional studio. Two audio recordings were taken. Normalization was done to balance the sound levels between the syllables. Sound recordings were presented to 35 children who were hearing typically and range of their ages are 7;0-10;5. When sound recordings were presented, the repetitions of the children were marked on a form and recorded with a sound recorder at the same time. Forty-three percent of the records were examined for interobserver reliability. Results: The variation coefficient of sound-recording-1 was found 10.96%, and the sound-recording-2 was found 12.2%. No significant differences were found between the sound recordings. Therefore, nonwords which have the least variation coefficient were identified. When there are words with equal variation coefficient in both sound recordings, the nonwords in sound-recording-1 were chosen inasmuch as the variation coefficient of sound-recording-1 is generally low. As a result, 20 nonwords were identified as one, two, three and four syllables. Moreover the interobserver reliability was found to be 87%. Conclusion: It is thought that this list is more useful in terms of evaluating less time and preventing children are bored during the task.
