%0 Journal Article %T ANALYSIS OF CAPITALISM CRISES FROM THE WINDOW OF KARL POLANYI %A Seda BAYRAKDAR %J - %D 2019 %X The views of Karl Polanyi on the crises of capitalism have a special place. According to Polanyi, the commodification of labor-land-money and the uncontrolled development of markets on its own constitute the source of capitalist crises. Polanyi is not against the market. According to him, the uncontrolled development of the market itself is the main problem. The biggest factor that leads to this is that democracies do not work properly. The market that serves the society to meet human needs and that is embedded in the society is the right market. In addition, the state is a mechanism with important functions. Polanyi is neither a familiar socialist nor a known democrat. According to Polanyi, economy and democracy actually serve one purpose. This aim is that people continue to develop in an equal and free way. From Polanyi's perspective, considering the recent crises, the functioning of the market dynamics and the deterioration of world resources, many criticisms is still consistent. More important than whether or not these criticisms are consistent is that they are inspiring today. The aim of the study is to analyze Polanyi's identification of fictitious commodification and its results by showing social, financial and ecological destructions today %K Karl Polanyi %K Piyasa %K Devlet %K £żifte Hareket %U http://dergipark.org.tr/akademik-hassasiyetler/issue/45496/571771
