%0 Journal Article %T Demographic data analysis of cases with esophagogastroduodenoscopy £¿n our gastroenterology department: 5-year series (Our esophagogastroduodenoscopy results) %A £¿i£¿dem C£¿NDO£¿LU %J - %D 2019 %X Background: It is aimed to create epidemiological data related to esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) patients who come to our hospital from £¿anl£¿urfa province and environmental regions and thus to reveal the similarities and differences of our endoscopy results by comparing the literature findings. Methods: A total of 5286 EGD data between January 2011 and March 2016 were evaluated. Patients in the study were compared according to age, gender, endoscopic lesions and malignancy. Results: There were 2774 (52.5%) women and 2512 (47.5%) men in esophagogastroduodenoscopy group. The average age of the women was 43,35 ¡À 17,76 and men was 44,35 ¡À 17,08. The rate of upper gastrointestinal system malignancy was 0.7%. Conclusions: The present study has provided detailed EGD data about Sanliurfa Region.
