%0 Journal Article %T Effects of the Students¡¯ Personality Traits on Their Career Anchors by Their Career Trends: A Research on Students in Business Administration %A Mehmet Sa£¿lam %A Nihan Yavuz %J - %D 2018 %X The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Big Five Factor personality traits on career anchors and to determine the average levels of both career anchor dimensions and personality trait dimensions, according to career trends reported by students in the department of Business Administration. For these purposes and within this scope, 414 participant students were reached by convenience sampling at a state university in £¿stanbul. The data obtained by face-to-face questionnaires were analyzed using the packaged program SPSS 22. This study contains frequency analysis, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, factor analysis, reliability test. Additionally regression analysis was used to determine the effect of personality traits on career anchors based on career preferences. According to research results; the students who interested in accounting career preference demonstrate the personality trait of agreeableness with the security career anchor; the students who interested in finance career preference demonstrate the technical-functional career anchor; the students who interested in human resources career preference demonstrate the personality trait of agreeableness with the managerial competence career anchor; and finally the students who interested in marketing career preference demonstrate the personality trait of openness to newness with lifestyle career anchor %K Ki£¿ilik %K Kariyer De£¿erleri %K Be£¿ B¨¹y¨¹k Fakt£¿r Kuram£¿ %U http://dergipark.org.tr/baunsobed/issue/43691/492459
