%X Drama, arising firstly in Lebanon in the Arab world, started to gain ground within the Arab literature as of the second half of 19th century. Yet it has considerably managed to develop since the early 20th century. Ali Ahmed Bakathir is one of the authors, who have made significant contributions to the Arab drama, thanks to many dramatic works he had written since 1933. Most of the pieces he wrote have been staged. In his plays, he addressed particularly the Palestine issue and colonization matter. Thereby, he made an effort to make political leaders and public sensitive to this issue. Despite his this attribute, he has not sufficiently been known after his death in the modern Arab literature. In this article, the dramatic performance of Ali Ahmed Bakathir, who has come to prominence as a productive drama author, was examined and his opinions on drama were covered
