Methods: This retrospective study evaluated the women applied to the oncology service of a university hospital between 2012-2017 and diagnosed with a cancer. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 20. Results: A total of 4506 cancer cases were registered between 2012-2017 with a mean age of 53.59 ¡À 16.68 (min:0; max:98). The incidence rates for the cancer cases were 26.2%, 9.8% and 9.1% for breast, thyroid and colorectal cancers, respectively. A statistically meaningful relationship between the age of the women and the incidence rate was detected (p:0,00). Conclusion: This study demonstrated that breast cancer was the most observed cancer type among the women and its incidence rate increased with age. Having gender-based screening tools and performing gender-based studies might cause an increase in early detection of cancers. Multi-disciplinary studies on gender-bias and etiological factors may help solving many mysteries left unsolved about women cancers %K Kad£¿n kanserleri %K jinekolojik kanserler %K hem£¿irelik %K Toplumsal Cinsiyet %U http://dergipark.org.tr/kashed/issue/45494/494445
