Providence, one of the Central concepts of philosophy, kalam and sufism, tlas gained its groun in the divine religions. In this context, it is possible to say that the idea of providence is processed bott£¿ in the whole Holy Scripture and Holy Qu£¿an. The p£¿0£¿£¿dence in the Old Testament is discussed in connection with the idea of the chosen people in Judaism. However, it is seen that this thought has been abandoned and God¡¯s providence and its being unive£¿sal and absolute has been emphasized in the New Testament. When it comes to the Holy Qur¡¯an, by making mention of God¡¯s help for believers it may be said that the idea that God¡¯s providence surrounds ali creatures prevails. This idea of providence prevailing in the Qur'an with the emphasis on supremacy oftaqwa in the axis of existence of a special help for believers can be evalueted as an objection to the idea of the chosen people in dudaism. In addition, it is also seen that the idea of providence in the Qur¡¯an is dealt with the context of Allah-world-human relation. In this study, it is aimed at contributing to this field with analysing the general approach of Judaism, Christianity and Islam towards the idea of the providence at the axis of the Bible and the Holy Quran.
