A Theoretical Introduction to Immigrant Neighborhood, Refugee Cuisine and Spatial Segregation %A B¨¹£¿ra ESER %J - %D 2018 %X Since 2011, immigrants from Syria, Pakistan, and Iraq move their cultural assets, specifically their culinary culture, to herein Turkey through opening ethnic food markets, kiosks, and restaurants. Immigrant neighborhoods which generally discussed regarding consumption and leisure industry in London or Berlin case, follow another sort of pattern in Istanbul, the one, in some respect unique. In this study, immigrant restaurants located in Istanbul¡¯s different three subprovince, Bagcilar, Esenler, and Sultangazi, is discussed regarding their spatial process and their position in Istanbul¡¯s food-scape will be discussed.
