For this reason, public information activities were evaluated as a managerial function. The activities of public relations department includes recognizing of the target groups and publicity activities towards target groups and became important for local governments as well as private sector organizations. Public relations should be based on the strategic plan of the organization. The success of the strategip plan can be monitored and evaluated via performance programme and annual activity reports. The aim of this study is to examine the last strategic plan, annual report and performance programme of £¿anakkale Municipality to find out the scope of public relations activities. The research is based on document review. Documents were obtained from the web site of the organization and analysed via content analysis. The results showed that the organization achieved most of its public relations goals and targets.
