%0 Journal Article %T Adaptation of Turkish Agriculture Sector to the CAP in the Process of Full Membership to the EU %A Pelin Yantur %J - %D 2019 %X Agriculture sector has vital importance as it is the main source of producing food. In addition, it has strategic importance when national incomes, employment and providing raw material for industry, and foreign trade are taken into account. In this context, countries take care of producing right and sustainable policies towards the agriculture sector. In Turkey, at the stage of deciding on agricultural policies and putting them into practice, the European integration process is an important matter. Therefore, the development of relations between Turkey and the European Union (EU) has crucial impacts on the Turkish agricultural sector. In this research, is stated that in terms of agricultural populations, structure of the economies Turkey and the EU reflect striking differences. These differences prevent adaptation of Turkey to the European Common Agriculture Policy (CAP).
