%0 Journal Article %T Meat Yield and Proximate Composition of Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) Harvesting from Different Aquaculture Systems %A Turgut £¿elik %A Volkan K£¿zak %J - %D 2018 %X In this study, body characteristics of rainbow trouts (Oncorhynchus mykiss) which were reared in net cage and concrete raceway in the months of June and July, were determined in terms of condition factor, meat yield and proximate composition in a harvest period. Condition factors were calculated as 1.03 - 1.03 and 1.05 - 1.05 for rainbow trouts which were reared in concrete raceways and net cages in June ¨C July, respectively. Meat yields were found as 61.37% - 62.68% and 61.54% - 62.81%, respectively. Crude protein, crude lipid, crude ash and dry matter were found for concrete raceways specimens as 19.97% - 20.47%; 2.25% - 2.08%; 1.32% - 1.39% and 23.76% - 24.20% respectively, while for net cages specimens as 20.50% - 20.63% ; 2.17% - 2.02% ; 1.38% -1.38% and 24.17% - 23.44%, respectively.
