%0 Journal Article %T A Comparative Analysis of Coding Software for Children %A Fatih £¿a£¿atay BAZ %J - %D 2018 %X Computer and coding instruction is progressing day by day. Coding education, which started to take place in curriculums since primary school, gives children success in analytical thinking, creativity and problem solutions besides computer field. Coding has been demonstrated in studies where children learning to solve problems can solve problems they can solve, and evaluate their results. Coding instruction also has a structure that sets goals for success and loves children progressively achieving these goals. This provides image, sound, music and similar media tools and encoding software in the media. All of these give children devotion and self-discipline throughout the education process. Recent developments in coding have led to a diversity of user profiles. Platforms for children have been created in the field of coding, and fun and educational software designed for their level has been designed. However, the fact that each of these software has different features makes it difficult to choose a suitable environment for children. In order to solve this problem, 40 of the coding environments for children have been examined by comparing them with different criteria. The result of comparative analyzes is that Scratch, code.org and App Inventor software have more features and functions than other software.
