%0 Journal Article %T The Impact of Capital Structure on Performance in Turkish Banking Sector %A BATUHAN £¿ZDEM£¿R %J - %D 2019 %X This study aims to assessment of the impact of Turkish banking sector capital structure on bank performances. In this regard, the study also examines whether a diversification occurs between development, investment banks, and deposit banks in terms of the impact of capital structure on bank performance. In this study, it was used 2005/Q4-2017/Q3 data of banks and ROA (Return on Asset) was selected as a proxy of the performance of the banks. On the other hand, the study used last term ROA, Total Debt/Total Asset, Non-performing loans/ Total Asset (control variable) as independent variables. The findings of the study reveal that negative relationship exists between capital structure and ROA and also the findings show there is a significant difference between development, investment bank and deposit banks performances regarding the impact of capital structure on the bank performance %K Sermaye Yap£¿s£¿ %K Banka Performans£¿ %U http://dergipark.org.tr/adusobed/issue/47467/427252
