Eban, one the leading figure of Hanafi school, created an impact with his pioneering works on the succeding periods including his own time. He influenced the thoughts of scholars followed his time. His contrubutions were immense on the formation and systematization of the methodology of Hanafi school. He was one of the pioneers who wrote on the methodology of fiqh (Islamic law). He is the author of such works as al-Hujaj as Sag£¿r (al-Hujjat as-Sag£¿rah), al-Hujaj al-Kebir, Haberu¡¯l-Vahid, £¿spatu¡¯l-K£¿yas. It was assumed that the only the work which was able to survive until today was al-Hujaj as Sag£¿r. In this study, the authenticity of this work and whether it belonged to Isa b. Eban or not were examined according to the three copies of the manuscripts found in the registrations of Turkish National Labrary, India Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library Patna India and Ba£¿dat Kadiriyye Library. In the end, it was found that all three copies were not the authentic versions of al-Hujaj as Sag£¿r but were the copies of al-Camiu¡¯s-Sag£¿r and al-Hujjah ¡®ala Ehli¡¯l-Medine by Imam Muhammed b. el-Hasen e£¿-£¿eyban£¿ %K £¿sa b.
