%0 Journal Article %T THE EFFECT OF THE SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS PSYCHO-EDUCATION PROGRAM ON THE SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS LEVELS OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS %A Ahmet ALKAL %A Mehmet £¿irin AK£¿A %A Ozan KORKMAZ %J - %D 2019 %X This research was conducted to investigate the effects of the self-consciousness psycho-education program on self-consciousness levels of university students. For the purpose of the study, 2x3 split-plot (experiment-control group x pre-test/post-test/follow-up test) factorial design was used and also experimental and control groups with 10 individuals were formed. Students in the experimental group were administered a self-awareness psycho-education program developed by the researchers, each of which consisted of 10 sessions of 90 minutes each. No application was made to the students in the control group. Self-consciousness levels of participants were determined by 'Self-Consciousness Scale' . In the analysis of the data, two factor ANOVA analysis was used for mixed patterns and Bonferroni test was used for determining the source of difference. As a result of the analyses made, it was found that the applied psycho-education program was effective in raising the private and public self-consciousness levels of the participants in the experimental group. Furthermore, in the follow-up measurements taken ten weeks later, it was determined that this effect continues in the context of self-consciousness.
