%0 Journal Article %T Views of Primary School Teachers towards Features of Scientific Research and Teachers Role %A Men£¿ure ALKI£¿-K¨¹£¿¨¹KAYDIN %J - %D 2019 %X The role of the teacher is great in the research that is be carried out at all levels of education in relation to the students. For this reason, in scientific research, it is necessary to examine teachers' views that as a data source about scientific research. In this study, it was aimed to reveal the features of primary school teachers' scientific research and their views on the role of the teacher. For this purpose, a semi-structured interview form was prepared. The prepared interview form was applied to 28 primary school teachers working in two schools located in Tokat province center. Primary school teachers that applicated were selected according to the typical case sampling method. According to the findings obtained from the research; primary school teachers generally have a positive view of the qualities that scientific research should possess. However, there are a number of factors on their views. These factors are; the belief in the necessity of research, the approach of researcher's to practitioner, and the process of examining the data obtained from research.
