%0 Journal Article %T Basic Education Department preservice teachers and curriculum A metaphor study %A Kaya Y£¿ld£¿z %A Ra£¿it £¿zen %A Y£¿ld£¿z Sevilay %J - %D 2018 %X The aim of the present study is to examine the opinions of Basic Education Department preservice teachers¡¯ about the curriculum concept via their metaphors. The study group was formed by Abant £¿zzet Baysal University Education Faculty Basic Education Department senior preservice teachers (n=83) in the spring semester of 2016 -2017 academic year. In the study phenomenological design was used and they were asked to complete the following sentence, as: ¡°Curriculum is like a(n) ¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­. because ¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­ .¡± Content analysis technique was used and the findings revealed that preservice teachers generate 74 metaphors (first five mostly generated metaphors; compass, tree, car steering wheel, computer software and factory) grouped under 7 categories %K £¿£¿retmen Adaylar£¿ %K Temel E£¿itim B£¿l¨¹m¨¹ £¿£¿retmen Adaylar£¿ %K E£¿itim Program£¿ %K metafor %U http://dergipark.org.tr/ijsser/issue/31791/400018
