%0 Journal Article %T Pleural synovial sarcoma: A case report %A Abdulkerim Bay¨¹lgen %J - %D 2019 %X Synovial sarcoma is an uncommon malignant soft tissue tumor that occurs primarily in the periarticular parts of extremities of young adults. It can also occur in the mediastinum, heart, pleura, oesophageous and vulvae. It is also known as ¡°malignant synovioma¡± and ¡°synovioblastic sarcoma¡±. A 57 years old female patient who had a story of falling admitted to our outpatient clinic for pleural effusion on the chest radiography. Total excision was applied for pleural lesions seen on thorax CT examination. Pathology result was reported as synovial sarcoma of the pleura.
