%0 Journal Article %T Clinically Silent Hemoglobin Variants, Hb D-Pu %A Fatih £¿z£¿elik %J - %D 2018 %X Hb D-Punjab, which is the second most common haemoglobin variant after haemoglobin S in our country, is an important Hb variant, mostly associated with Hb S, although it is not clinically symptomatic, and is similar in clinical signs and symptoms to thalassemia. Unless the behaviour of Hb electrophoresis is well known, it can be confused with other Hb variants and cause clinical anxiety until definitive diagnosis is made.
