%0 Journal Article %T Abu ¡®Ali al-Farisi¡¯s objection about morphology to his master Zajjaj %A Saeed Alothman %J - %D 2018 %X In this article, we tried to examine Abu ¡®Ali al-Farisi¡¯s objection to his master Zajjaj in his book Ma¡¯ani l-qur'an wa-i'rabuh in terms of morphology, ibdal (morphological change) ishtiqaq (derivation) and jam¡® (plural). Also, the grammatical opinions of early and later scholars were included using explorative method in order to clarify Zajjaj¡¯s views which were attached to the end of this paper. In this context, this study aims to discover Zejjaj¡¯s approach to morphological and grammatical problems as well as his scientific insight. He employed such criteria as hearing (sama¡¯) and analogy (q£¿yas) on which all grammar scholars agreed. His method in accepting recitations (Qira¡¯at) was compatible with the Arabic standards.
