%0 Journal Article %T AN ANALYSIS OF THE VOCATIONAL COLLEGE STUDENTS' COMMUNICATION SKILLS IN TERMS OF SEVERAL VARIABLES %A Seda BAYSAL %A S£¿dd£¿k DO£¿RULUK %A Yal£¿£¿n MUTLUAY %J - %D 2019 %X The overall aim of this research was to explore vocational college students¡¯ communication skills in terms of several variables. The research utilized descriptive survey model. The population of the research consisted of 1692 students learning at G£¿ksun Vocational School in Kahramanmara£¿ S¨¹t£¿¨¹ £¿mam University during the fall semester of 2017-2018 academic year. The research sample held a total of 248 students who studied computer programming, child development, map and cadastre, land registry and cadastre, first aid and emergency and who were selected by simple random sampling method. Research findings revealed that the communication skills of the students were generally above the moderate level. Besides, a statistically significant difference was identified across the students¡¯ communication skills in terms of their gender, grade point average and internet experience. However, the students¡¯ communication skills were found to be free from any significant difference depending on their department, their place of residence, family income levels, the number of social media accounts they used and the purposes for internet use %K Meslek y¨¹ksekokulu %K ileti£¿im becerisi %K £¿£¿renci %U http://dergipark.org.tr/ses/issue/45824/573199
