%X There are numerous words related to gypsies in the dialects spoken in Turkey, some of which are abdal, ceh¨±d, £¿£¿ga¨½, k£¿pt£¿, mutrib etc. The common trait of such words is that, they all imply ¡°stingy¡± as well as ¡°gypsy¡±, constituting a metonymycal perception. In this way, words related to stingy are also used for gypsies.
