%T A CRITICAL APPROACH TO PHILOSOPHICAL AND SCIENTIFIC METHOD IN F.C.S. SCHILLER¡¯S PRAGMATIC HUMANISM

%X Schiller aimed to provide a method to cover both, rather than philosophical and scientific methods, in an abstract or naturalist structure. In order to achieve such an aim, he has dealt with both methods in a manner dependent on human nature. This issue has enabled the pragmatic humanist method to have a real and verifiable meaning and to remain within the realm of experience. Such a framework shows that the new method explains the reality as it appears to us, and the sciences in a manner dependent on the interests and tendencies of man. This represents a humanist structure that is centered on an ordinary person equipped with all kinds of defects rather than a foreign and unknown person. Schiller argues that the distinction between science and philosophy will disappear by this structure
