In Turkey, physical geography conditions have significant effects on plateaus and high plateus activities. However, it is one of the most important subjects of economic, social, cultural features, human geography and related sciences. The high plateau activities in Anatolia, which have hundreds of years of history, and in recent years they have become more and more popular with tourism and husbandry. However, there are also cultural dimensions that have been sustained since the past, and nowadays, facing the danger of extinction. In this research "Ot£¿u G£¿£¿¨¹" tradition which is one of the forgotten cultural aspects of the high plateau activities is examined. ¡°Ot£¿u G£¿£¿¨¹¡± and Ot£¿u festivals are important cultural activities, which are hosted by many rituals and taken seriously by local people. Kad£¿rga Ot£¿u Festival, which is the biggest high plateau organization of the Black Sea Region, is one of them. Unfortunately, the cultural distortion and corruption seen in each area is also seen here, and ¡°Ot£¿u G£¿£¿¨¹¡± high plateau festivals are gradually getting away from its essence. If necessary precautions are not taken, such an important cultural heritage will face the danger of extinction. In this study, the geographical conditions that led to ¡°Ot£¿u G£¿£¿¨¹¡± were discussed, and then the traditional Kad£¿rga Ot£¿u Festival was evaluated in the context of the Intangible Cultural Heritage and the necessary things to be done in order to be able to continue its cultural existence %K Ot£¿u G£¿£¿¨¹ %K Ot£¿u £¿enli£¿i %K Kad£¿rga %K Trabzon %K T¨¹rkiye %U http://dergipark.org.tr/tcd/issue/39566/454455
