%0 Journal Article %T THE QAS£¿DA FORM IN TURKISH RELIGIOUS MUSIC (THE CASE OF EM£¿N I£¿IK¡¯S QAS£¿DA) %A Mehmet £¿ncel %J - %D 2018 %X Being one of the Turkish religious music forms of both the lodge and the mosque, qasida is composed of poetry that entreats warnings and advice regarding the Islamic acts of worship and moral issues, particularly in paying tribute to Allah (SWT), the Prophet (PBUH) and other religious scholars. Qasida as a musical, is an improvised religious musical form with no method to abide by, in which the musical instruments are used according to the place, and the artistic mode is used within itself. In this study, the general structure of qasida form in religious music has been examined having determined the methodology first. Next, the qasida "Yak sinemi ate£¿lere efgan£¿ma bakma¡± by Yaman Dede has been notated and musically analized. This qasidahad been performed by the 21st century thinker, sufi and musician, Hafiz Emin I£¿£¿k, at the TRT suhoor program.
