%X Nuri Bilge Ceylan is one of the reputable film director as known in Turkey and in the World. In this sense the reason of being known can be about universal language of the content or universalism of art. Nuri Bilge Ceylan is called a director of the New Turkish Cinema who agglomerate the things of local and universal in his films in the context of world literature and world cinema. So world press were interested about the film which contains the topics of bureaucracy, provincialism, female-male relations, patriarchy and inertia. This study aims to search for cultural reflexes of film critics from nine different nationalities on Ceylan¡¯s film. The notion of Anatolianism was analysed according to comments of critics who are in the effects of global modernism by discourse analyse method. Review articles selected on the press releases of the film were found on the official web page of the director. In the conclusion critics criticized the film within context of western terminology as like feminism, bureaucracy, Christianity, realism, symbolism, security, competition and minimalism. None of them has visited Anatolia and at least never mentioned about their own experiences or original sources related to Anatolia as like a local poet, national writer, historical byword, ethnic stich, other films, Turkish history etc. Every of the critic has acted to criticizes the film according to sub terms o of modernism as a standardized behaviour. So all these details showed the film criticism is under the effect of westernized modernism which excludes local/national/experimental comments
