%0 Journal Article %T ASSESSMENT OF PERFECTIONISM LEVELS OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS %A Fatma £¿zlem YILMAZ %A Mehmet Akif ER£¿£¿EN %A Merve BANAZ %J - %D 2019 %X The aim of this study is to determine whether the perfectionism levels of university students differ according to various independent variables. The study was carried out on students who received undergraduate education at Konya Sel£¿uk University Alaeddin Keykubat Center Campus. The research data were collected between 25.04.2017-20.05.2017 and multidimensional perfectionism scale developed by Frost et al. was used as data collection tool. The universe of the research is composed of 54,200 students who have undergraduate education at the center campus of Sel£¿uk University and the sample consists of 400 students reached by using simple random sampling method. While 61.8% of the participants were women, 68.6% were composed of 21-24 year olds. In addition, 35.5% of the participants are educated in Faculty of Arts and Sciences and 35.5% of them have income between 2001-3000. In addition to these, 68.3% of the participants have an average of 2.5 and above, and 56% of their families live in the city center. Findings from the study showed that the level of perfectionism of participants participating in the study varied according to gender and that male participants had higher levels of general perfectionism than female participants.
