%0 Journal Article %T Determination of nursing moral sensitivity: A state hospital example %A Gizem Zevde Ayd£¿n %J - %D 2019 %X Introduction and Objectives: Nowadays, it is important for patients to be sensitive and empathy for health care providers. The corporation strives to provide services with ethical principles. The study aimed to measure the moral sensitivities of nurses. Materials and Methods: The study was carried out in a district state hospital in Ankara province. The population of the study consists of nurses (N = 200) who work in a district state hospital in the province of Ankara. The sample was not selected in the study and it was aimed to reach the whole universe. 196 nurses who accepted to participate in the study were included in the study. In order to measure the moral sensitivities of nurses, the Moral Sensitivity Scale, which was developed by L¨¹tz¨¦n (1994). Results and Conclusion: It was found that there were differences in terms of moral sensitivities of participants according to their gender, marital status, educational status, income status, time spent in profession. It is recommended that institutions supervise their employees' working status in accordance with ethical principles.
