In places like Khur¨¡s¨¡n and Transoxiana where M¨¡tur¨©diyyah spreaded most, the most prominent followers have been the £¿anaf¨© scholars and the school was called £¿anafiyyah/M¨¡tur¨©diyyah because of its ¡°dual-authoritative¡± nature. While £¿anaf¨©s of Samarqand embraced a more kal¨¡m¨©/dialectical methodology much like al-Im¨¡m al-M¨¡tur¨©d¨©, £¿anaf¨©s of Bukh¨¡r¨¡ had a more scripturalist/traditionalist attitude with some caution of rational interpretation (ta£¿w¨©l). No doubt that, despite his rational (grounded on ra£¿y) and interpretivist attitudes in the issues of fiqh, the fact that Ab¨± £¿an¨©fah had a more moderate and conservative attitude that is not completely contrary to that of Ahl al-£¿ad¨©th in credal/theological issues had an effect on this. Even though he preserved his kal¨¡m¨© methodology and style in congruence with his school and penned an entirely theological book named al-Tamh¨©d, Ab¨± Shak¨±r al-S¨¡lim¨©, a representative of Samarqand £¿anaf¨©/M¨¡tur¨©d¨© tradition, had some ideas and views compatible with the ¡°conservative¡± Bukh¨¡r¨¡-based £¿anaf¨©/M¨¡tur¨©d¨© position, probably because of perceiving Ab¨± £¿an¨©fah as the absolute authority. Nevertheless, it is possible to say that he followed and fused the ideas of both of two authorities, Ab¨± £¿an¨©fah and al-Im¨¡m al-M¨¡tur¨©d¨©, and at the same time, preserved his own authenticity %K Eb£¿ £¿ek£¿r es-Salim£¿ %K et-Temh£¿d f£¿ beyani¡¯t-tevh£¿d %K Hanef£¿/Mat¨¹r£¿d£¿ gelenek %K Eb£¿ Han£¿fe %K Eb£¿ Mans£¿r el-Mat¨¹r£¿d %U http://dergipark.org.tr/uluifd/issue/41319/499382
