%0 Journal Article %T A Study on the Perceptions and Attitudes of Prospective Primary School Teachers on Creative Drama %A Bilge Ku£¿demir Kay£¿ran %J - %D 2018 %X The purpose of the research; to examine the views of elementary school prospective teachers on drama concept and drama practice and to develop prospective teachers¡¯ self-efficacy perceptions and attitudes towards using the creative drama method. The study was conducted in a 33-hour workshop consisting of three-hour sessions for totally 11 weeks between September-December 2016 with 34 prospective teachers studying in the third grade in the Primary School Department at the Faculty of Education at a state university. Sequential explanatory design was used as a mixed method designs. ¡°Self-Efficacy Perceptions Scale Towards Using the Creative Drama Method¡±, ¡°Attitude Scale for the Creative Drama Course¡± and ¡°Semi-Structure Interview Form¡± were used to collect data. When the pre-test and post-test findings were assessed, it could be stated that the practice conducted has a positive impact on the teachers¡¯ self-efficacy perceptions and attitudes towards using the creative drama methods.
