%0 Journal Article %T Samples of Uncommon Organic Material Usage in Contemporary Jewellery %A Ne£¿em Ertan Ayata %J - %D 2018 %X The earliest materials used in jewellery culture -which is of the same age as history of mankind- are the organic materials. Along with the historic developments, precious metals and gems were included in order to create the conventional form of jewellery. Since 20th century, together with the changing jewellery concept, art jewellery emerged and found an expression through different forms, dimensions, concepts and materials. Today; uncommon materials which are pushing the limits, even found repulsive, extreme or considered as taboo can be included in jewellery as a self- expression of the jewellery artist.
