The common purpose of giving rewards in a variety of fields and, at both national and international level is to encourage the progress in these fields. In Turkey, awards have been given in several areas, especially arts, to help improvements in culture, art, and science for years. One of them is £¿n£¿n¨¹ Awards Law enacted in 1946.
