%0 Journal Article %T Optimization of Surface Roughness and Material Removal Rate for Aluminum Alloy by Taguchi Technique in Electro Discharge Machining %A Ali Kalyon %J - %D 2019 %X In this study, the machinability of aluminium 6082 material in electro discharge machine was investigated with different electrode materials. According to the processing parameters, optimum processing conditions were determined by investigating workpiece surface roughness and workpiece processing speed. Experiments were carried out according to the Taguchi L18 orthogonal arrays. In the evaluation of the results, signal/noise ratios, graphs and regression analysis were used. With Taguchi optimization, optimum surface roughness and material removal rate are determined. Optimum levels for surface roughness A1B1C1, for material removal rate A2B3C3 test conditions were found. The effect of control factors on experimental output was calculated using ANOVA. According to ANOVA analysis, discharge current was found to be effective at 90,09% on surface roughness and at 95,54% on material removal rate. The results of the verification experiment for surface roughness and material removal rate were found to be within confidence interval values. As a result of the study, it was observed that the optimization study performed with Taguchi method at 0.05 significance level was successfu %K EE£¿ %K Bak£¿r %K Grafit %K Taguchi %K ANOVA %K Regresyon %U http://dergipark.org.tr/deumffmd/issue/44128/499834
