%0 Journal Article %T The Validity and Reliability Study of the Abbreviated School Climate Survey¡¯s Turkish Version for Elementary Schools %A Ba£¿ak Kasa Ayten %J - %D 2018 %X It is aimed to adapt Abbreviated School Climate Survey (ASCS), the study of validity and reliability of which was carried out by Ding, Liu, and Berkowitz (2011) to Turkish in this research. 381 students receiving education in different elementary schools in Diyarbak£¿r and Malatya provinces in 2014-2015 school year and six experts working in £¿n£¿n¨¹ University participated in the study. Attitude toward Schools subscale of the School Attitude Assessment Survey-Revised (Ba£¿lant£¿, 2002) and ASCS were used as the data collection tools. According to the findings of the research ASCS¡¯s Turkish version is linguistically equivalent to the original form. The results of the first order Confirmatory Factor Analysis validate the construct of the original form for ASCS¡¯s Turkish version. Subscales of ASCS have concurrent validity. The measurements done with ASCS¡¯s Turkish version are reliable. All the items in ASCS are discriminating items.
