%X One of the debated issues in Turkey is Alawis. Alawism in Turkey have special rituals and rules and conduct. It is difficult to reach a concensus on the definition of Alawism. There is nounanimous definition among the Alawi Unions and Foundations in Turkey. They have various definitions of Alawism. The sources of knowledge of Alev£¿sm and Bektashi are based on oral culture as well as written sources. In our study, we tried to define the historical background of this idea, its course, beliefs and rituals as a result of the basic sources and face-to-face interviews. Turkmen Alev£¿s in Kisas is one of the towns which are continuing the original way of Alev£¿-Bektashi faith. Even if they are in an effort to protect their beliefs, but they have changed in certain subjects over time. Although there are differences of interpretation and understanding, they are in harmony with Sunni society. In this article, the beliefs, customs and traditions of theTurkmen Alev£¿-Bektashi who live in K£¿sas, the beliefs of ¡°Hak-Muhammed-Ali, Ehl-i Beyt and the culture of the twelve imams, the status of women, were taken into consideration from the scientific point of view. We believe that this study will contribute to the discussion of the subject
