Self-efficacy is the self-belief of the person to cope with the disease. Objectives: The research is done descriptively to compare the Self-efficacy level of the people with different chronic diseases. Methods: The sample is composed of 200 people with 40 patients for each diagnosis of Chronic Heart Failure (CHF), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Diabetes Mellitus (DM), arthritis and Chronic Kidney Failure (CKF). The data is collected by means of Patient Identification Form and Self-efficacy Scale for Chronic Diseases (SSCD), and evaluated with number, percentage and median analysis. Results: 59.5% of the people are between the ages of 45-64, 75% of them are women, 71% of them are diagnosed for 10 years and 65.5% of them have other diseases. It is found that Self-efficacy perception of all the diseases aforesaid, particularly the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease¡¯s, is low. Analyzing the diseases of the people and sub-dimensions of the scale, it is found that except for the first, second and seventh sub-dimension of the scale with ten sub-dimensions in total there is a significant relation among the others. In the study, it is detected that some variables of different chronic diseases affect Self-efficacy perception. Conclusion: With the study it is found out that for most sub-dimensions of the scale the people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease have minimum and the people with arthritis have maximum Self-efficacy point average. Of all the sub-dimensions of the scale doing sports regularly is the sub-dimension with minimum point average and communication with the doctor is the sub-dimension with maximum point average %K Kronik Hastal£¿k %K £¿z-Etkililik %K Hem£¿irelik. %U http://dergipark.org.tr/deuhfed/issue/46759/586466
