However, the theologians have not been able to ally themselves on what the source of this wujub is. This debate has been particularly intense as to whether or not the persons to whom the divine call does not reach will be responsible and what will be their situation Hereafter. A great majority of the Matur£¿d£¿, the Mu¡¯tezile and many contemporary theologians, have accepted the knowledge of God as an intellectual obligation, and they argued that these persons would be worthy of the punishment, hereafter. Ash¡¯ar£¿s, Hasheviyye, a part of Shia, some of Harij£¿s, Dirar b. Amr and such as some prominent theologians, have agreed knowledge of God as a shari¡¯a responsibility by asserting that knowledge of God would be merely obligatory with Shariah. On the other hand, another subject they have allied is that reasoning about knowledge of God is wajib. That is to say, all of the theologians have argued that the knowledge of God can be obtained with reason, and reason is a tool for the knowledge of God. According to these different results that the scholars have, the answer that is given about the condition of those hereafter whom the divine call didn¡¯t reach also varied. In this respect, scholars who see knowledge of God as a rational responsibility have suggested that human beings who do not know Allah, will have perdition whereas scholars who see knowledge of God as a shari¡¯a responsibility have claimed that human beings who do not know Allah will have perdition %K Marifetullah %K kelamc£¿lar %K vacip %K ak£¿l %U http://dergipark.org.tr/artukluakademi/issue/38165/392132
