%T Effects of Egg Weight on Hatchability Characteristics in Chukar Partridges

%X This study was carried out to determine the effect of egg weight and weight loss during hatching on incubation results and embryonic mortality in chukar partridges. In the study, 308 eggs obtained from the 48-week old chukar partridge grown in Bahri Da£¿da£¿ Institute of Agricultural Researches were used. According to weight of partridge eggs; <19, 19-20, 20-21, 21-22, 22-23, 23 <g. There was no effect of egg weight on hatchability, fertility rate and hatchability of fertile eggs. With this research, it was concluded that the results of incubation in chukar partridge were not affected by egg weight. It should not be forgotten that for the successful incubation results in partridge breeding, the selection of breeders, the female/male ratio, the type of breeding, the feeding and the storage conditions of the eggs obtained are important
