In order to realize these objectives, the institutionalization level of the enterprise is very important. There are many indications of the institutionalization level of an enterprise one of which is human resources practices. The basic practices of human resources such as recruitment, training and development, performance and remuneration management are common practices in institutionalized enterprises. In this context, our research was carried out in the banking sector which is one of the most successful examples of institutionalization in Turkey. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the antecedent effects of basic human resources practices on institutionalization perception. For this purpose, survey data were collected from private and public bank employees in Istanbul. As a result of the analysis of the data, it was seen that HR practices have a positive and significant effect on the sub-dimensions of institutionalization like making the structure and the operation normative, providing a positive competitive advantage and continuity and professionalization of the management.
