The dams have an important role in efficient use of the water as a source of life beside usage of it as a renewable energy source. Physical, social, economical and environmental problems emerge during and after construction of the dams for power generation and irrigation purposes. In order to minimize negative influences of investment projects to be realized by collective expropriation in the scope of public investments, execution of relocation applications additional to expropriation or as an alternative of expropriation procedure has become an inevitable socio-economical fact. Changing of settlement areas located in the reservoir fields of the dams and expropriation of the affected private lands are leading significant social and physical problems. Relocation of the families whose settlements (properties) are expropriated, the projects applied in new settlement areas, rearrangement of economical and social life are problematic processes taking time and requiring huge economic resources. Beside relocation problems, changes occur in eco systems because of the dams. In this study, relocation and expropriation problems caused by Artvin, Muratl£¿, Deriner, Bor£¿ka and Yusufeli dams which are among the dam Projects in the valley of £¿oruh shall be studied using literature review method %K Baraj %K Yeniden Yerle£¿im (£¿skan) %K Kamula£¿t£¿rma %K Artvin %U http://dergipark.org.tr/ohuiibf/issue/42769/465069
