For this objective, children¡¯s perceptions about different cultures were evaluated in terms of having a Syrian refugee classmate, gender, age, parent¡¯s education and occupation. After obtaining the necessary permits, the research was carried out with a total of 253 children aged between 48 and 84 months attending in public schools in the province of Alt£¿nda£¿, Ankara. The Different Cultural Background sub-dimension of The Scale of Respect for Diversities (Ekmi£¿o£¿lu, 2007) was used to collect the data. The scale was applied as individual interviews with the children. In the analysis of the data, independent groups t test and one way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used. As a result of the research, there was a significant difference in the perception of children towards different cultures in terms of having Syrian refugee classmate, the age of the children and mother's education and father¡¯s occupation.
