%0 Journal Article %T Comparison of Gerze and village chicken populations in Sinop by eight polymorphic microsatellite loci %A Levent Mercan %J - %D 2019 %X In this study, we aimed to identify the genetic relation between indigenous Gerze chicken population which is conserved in Gerze district of Sinop province and village chicken populations which are raised in Sinop. We used 8 highly polymorphic microsatellite loci for examinations. Animal materials of this study are total of 60 samples from 3 village chicken populations raised in Ayanc£¿k, Boyabat and Gerze districts, and 20 samples from Gerze chicken from the conserved population in Gerze district of Sinop province. Expected heterozygosity (He) values in Sinop Gerze Village, Sinop Gerze (Hac£¿kad£¿), Sinop Ayanc£¿k Village and Sinop Boyabat Village populations were calculated as 0.820, 0.755, 0.795 and 0.741, respectively. FIS values were predicted as -0.131, -0.195, -0.137 in LEI0166, MCW0034 ve MCW0069 loci and 0.178, 0.134, 0.766, 0.508, 0.433 in ADL0278, LEI0234, MCW0080, MCW0104, MCW0330 loci respectively. Principal coordinate and Structure analyses¡¯ results showed that Gerze (Hac£¿kad£¿n) population is genetically different from the other village populations. In the study, it was concluded that the chickens in the Gerze villages are not pure breed. Thus, pure breed raising is necessary to conserve this breed in the region %K Genetik £¿e£¿itlilik %K K£¿y tavu£¿u %K Mikrosatellitler %K Sinop %U http://dergipark.org.tr/omuanajas/issue/46215/480586
