%X The purpose of this study is to examine how the ¡®Merakl£¿ Minik¡¯ children¡¯s journal that targets early childhood period which published by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) determines the universal values. In accordance with this purpose, qualitative research method was used. The data was collected by document examination. Content analysis method was used in data analysis. The sample of this research was determined by the ¡®Merakl£¿ Minik¡¯ journal¡¯s issues which are published between the period of 2012 to 2016. The study was examined regarding twelve universal values included in ¡®Existing Values Education Program¡¯ that was determined by UNESCO. As a result, it was found that the journal¡¯s context mostly includes the values ¡®love, responsibility, and cooperation¡¯. In addition, it was detected that journal¡¯s context includes less ¡®liberty, simplicity and unity¡¯ values. Neither negative values nor ¡®peace, honesty and modesty¡¯ values were spotted in this journal
