%X After gaining independence, Uzbekistan ensured the expansion of translations of Turkish literature, the first country to recognize its independence. The novel ¡°From The Lips To The Heart¡± by the famous Turkish writer Reshad Nuri Guntekin was translated into Uzbek by the Uzbek writer Miraziz Azzam and provided for the attention of Uzbek readers during this period. However, such issues as the quality and level of translation, the skill of the translator of this book were not the object of special research in Uzbek Translation Studies. This article is a comparative study of the novel ¡°From Lips To The Heart¡± by Reshad Nuri Guntekin in the source and target languages, it analyzes the methods and ways of transmitting metaphors that are a feature of the writer, and provided a unique aesthetic beauty to the work. At the same time, approaches to the definition and classification of metaphors in world linguistics are studied, and features of linguistic and literary metaphors are considered. The skills of the translator, the ways of conveying the linguistic and literary metaphors used in the novel ¡°From Lips To The Heart¡± by Reshad Nuri Guntekin are evaluated
