%X One of the best protection methods known for an artwork is the insurance.The only thing that makes the for collectors hesitant to invest in artworks is the value of the artwork and the fear of its being fake. The most important problem in the insurance sector is related to artwork security and art valuation. The buyer of artwork does nor want to experience grievances about the artwork that he/she invests in. The problems related to insurance process and transaction have been identified in this research In comparison to other branches that are insurance products, the field of application for artworks in our country is narrow-scoped.Lack of resources, limited number of specialist experts, lack of laboratories where scientific methods can be applied against potential fraud incidents may constitute a problem in the development of this sector. In the research, it is argued that the relevant individuals should be informed and their awareness should be raised about which assurances will be provided under the insurance coverage against possible risks which may occur within the scope of insurance, and the necessity of showing due importance to its application for the identification of fake artworks, guidance, training the experts in this field, creating scientific laboratories, eliminating the lack of resources are also argued
